I’m being cultured for once! I am watching Masterchef and the 3 finalists are serving food in ‘the bush’. I was just imagining myself as a rangers sat waiting for the food to be served.
While sitting waiting they are able to watch the animals swimming past in the river. Not just fish etc but hippos and crocs. I presume that there are also many other animals that the rangers are sharing their ‘dining room’ with…as long as they don’t want to share the food too!
What a different life it must be!
I suppose that sort of experience might have been more familiar to Jesus and the disciples, perhaps not hippos and crocodiles, but eating outside seemed to be more common then. I suppose the climate has a lot to do with it but it certainly must be an amazing experience to be amongst animals like that. Not quite the same as a picnic at the zoo!
